Maria Sibylla Merian
Maria Sibylla Merian. Metamorphosis insectorum Surinamensium. Verandering der Surinaamsche insecten - Transformation of the Surinamese insects
hardcover in grand- Folio; 38cm x 56cm. Gebonden in foedraal. 200 pages in color.. NL/ENG. The facsimile is preceded by a number of essays in Dutch and English that highlight the life of Maria Sibylla Merian, her entire oeuvre and her time. The original texts are also translated into English at the end of the book. The book closes with an index of plant, animal and insect names. ISBN 9789401433785.
