Walter Pancheri nasce nel 1962 ad Ortisei dove tuttora vive e lavora: fa apprendistato presso il maestro scultore Vincenzo Mussner poi studia a Graz in Austria e nel 1997 consegue il titolo di Maestro Scultore. Lavora con il padre Flavio nel '94 apre un proprio studio di scultura ed entra a far parte di Unika associazione fondata dagli scultori della Val Gardena allo scopo di promuovere l'antica tradizione scultorea lignea locale. Pancheri ha esposto a New York 2004 J. Javits Center a Vienna 2005 Wiener Staatsoper ma anche in Italia.
