Among its rectors were Michel de Bay (Michael Baius, 1513-1589, founder of the doctrine of 'Baianisme'(precursor of Jansenism), Cornelius Jansen (1585-1638) himself, the father of Jansenism and Charles Lambrechts (1753?1825), later Minister of Justice of the French Republic from 1797-1799.
