Dunn, Patricia; Collins, Jerry; Bannerman, Gary
Collingwood School - The First Ten Years
128 pages. From an enthusiastic start in 1984, this West Vancouver institution has developed to march in step with the best independent schools anywhere. Starting with nothing, a determined group of parents have created a valuable capital plant. There are more than 600 students from kindergarten to Grade 12, and the first five graduating classes are beginning to bring great honour to the school as they pursue scholarship and professional standing far afield. Collingwood students have earned provincial and national recognition in academics, the arts, athletics and increasingly, service and citizenship pursuits. For faculty members, Collingwood on the personal resume has become increasingly respected... This is a celebration, the story of dedication, volunteerism and committment. We hope it will serve as an inspiration to groups of parents everywhere that education can be just as good as they make it." - from the Preface. Clean, bright and unmarked with minimal wear.
