8° br. ed. pp. 64. Brossura bella e genuina con tiolo elegante entro cornici di filetti. lievi usure al pur compatto dorso, con piccolo rinforzo antico di refe passante al dorso. Intonso e nelle sue barbe. Fioriture lievi perlopiù marginali.. Critica il metodo Jacotot che si dichiarava universale e per l'emancipazione intellettuale. GASXC era contrario aletteratura e grammatica e preferiva le scienze natutrali e la geomatria pratica. Cfr Revue Encyclopédique, tome 45, janvier-mars 1830, Paris De Plassan, p. 699. Joseph JACOTOT (1770-1840), insegnante e filosofo dell'educazione, difese i principi della Rivoluzione anche combattendo nel 1792, nel 1794, funzionario dell'Ecole Polytechnique, sperimentò il suo metodo a Lione. La Restaurazione lo obbligfò a trasferirsi a Bruxelles dove rese sistematico il suo metodo "panecastico" di "Enseignement universel", che suscitò plausi e polemiche come questa in vari Paesi. Edizione originale rara di questo scritto di Gozzi (la relazione fu scritta dall'Autore nel dicembre 1773 ma rimase inedita fino al 1836) su una possibile riforma delle scuole di Venezia a seguito della soppressione di quelle gesuitiche. Gozzi dedico', oltre a questo, altri tre saggi al tema pedagogico: "Sulla riforma degli Studi"; "Sulle scuole che dovevano in Padova essere sostituite a quelle dei Gesuiti"; "Sopra il corso di Studi che piu' convenga alla Accademia della Zuecca in Venezia" tutti ripubblicati dal Tommaseo. Nel saggio, infatti, l'A. si focalizza sul concetto di 'vocazione' del fanciullo che gli insegnanti e i pedagoghi devono essere in grado di cogliere e incoraggiare al tempo stesso per mettere a frutto i talenti del singolo individuo.
