A letter to Mill in which the author rejects the doctrine of inseparable association until it has been proved and the burden of proof rests with its supporters. However he accepts that man may be inclined towards accepting it until it has been refuted. He goes on to suggest that a case will never be made out on behalf of inseparable association " which will be more then enough to justify its advocates ". He ends the letter by accusing Mill of " . an approach towards saying that nobody can be justified in holding any other doctrine that of inseparable association ".
