19748vo., with 29 plates on 16; cloth, gilt back, a very good, clean copy in the dustwrapper, the latter mildly frayed and creased at edges. First published by Faber in 1972, this is a comprehensive study of the hare both in its natural setting and in mythology. The original edition is scarce indeed; this reissue itself is rapidly becoming so.
