1950ref. 18318Monsterbeskyttet: Kaj Kjeldsen No date circa 1950. The game board with an impressive pop-up circus tent featuring Dumbo in the center preparing for his famed “burning building leap” and decorated with colorful characters from the movie. Included game pieces featuring colourful characters and an instruction sheet in Danish. 19 by 19 inches fold-up cardboard game board and a colorful pictorially decorated paper-board box containing the Dumbo playing pieces a die and an instruction sheet. One sheet of playing instructions in Danish. The pop up board is in lovely condition some wear to the small box of playing pieces. A WELL-PRESERVED DISNEY GAME and one featuring one of the studio’s most beloved animal characters. Dumbo is of course the baby elephant who could fly. Although the rules are in Danish the game is fairly simple to figure out and appears to be essentially complete. The main attraction here however is the fabulous pop-up circus scene which serves as a centerpiece to the playing-board. Kaj Kjeldsen] unknown

2023ref. B2308262Aktif Yayinevi 2023. New. n/a n/a Türkiye has a long history of combatting terrorism. Through these terrorist acts Türkiye has gone through a lot of tragedy. Moreover all of these attacks were committed by a transnational network; thus making Türkiyes counter-terrorism experience unique. Despite this experience's scope and uniqueness Türkiyes counter-terrorism efforts are under-researched. Due to Turkish efforts against PKK terrorism in the last four decades counter-terrorism has become a specific area for securocrats. This situation has driven away scholarly interest in the topic. Another reason was the tactic adopted by PKK militants which focused on exploiting freedom of speech in academia by using it for mere propaganda. Eventually Turkish counter-terrorism stayed as an under-researched area. This book is focusing on to say something on the issue in a scholarly fashion to advance the discussion on the topic. As it is explained; works on the topic are limited in Turkish academia; thus by publishing this study it is expected to initiate a scholarly debate. Aktif Yayinevi unknown

He begins by informing the unnamed recipient that the reason for the delay in answering his letter is that Selous has 'just returned to this country from a trip to Hungary'. For his part Selous will be 'very pleased if you will quote anything you like from my book “Travel and Adventure in S. E. Africa”. He presumes that 'the publishers to whom the book I suppose really belongs will have no objection either as to quote any passage from a book is to call attention to the book itself which may result in the sale of a copy'.
