His drawings for this title help tell the story of three English gentlemen; Jones Johnson and Jakes who make a wager who would catch the heaviest fish. The illustrations convey the spirit of the verse very well showing great talent. Jessie Pope 1868 - 1941 was known as a patriotic English poet writer and journalist best known for her patriotic motivational poems published during WW !
