1955réf. 5550Derby United Kingdom: Rolls-Royce Limited 1955. First Edition. hardcover. Very Good. N/A. Publication: Derby Rolls-Royce Limited 1955 Formatting: 4to unpaginated. Condition Report: Very Good. The green cloth boards remain remarkably firm and square presenting with only light generalised shelf-wear and a few faint handling marks. The spine is uncreased tight and boasts bright unoxidised gilt lettering. Internally the binding is solid with no splitting to the endpapers. The preliminary leaves show scattered moderate foxing but the interior text block is largely clean displaying only standard mild age-toning to the page peripheries. The black-and-white photographic plates remain sharp and well-preserved. Catalogue Note: A privately bound volume assembling nine individual issues of the Rolls-Royce Bulletin spanning from July 1951 to July 1955. Catalogue Note: Profusely illustrated with black-and-white photographs the text offers substantial insight into the company's developments in early jet-age aviation specifically featuring detailed articles on jet propulsion and the Avon engine. While single loose issues of the Bulletin from this era occasionally surface bespoke contemporary bound runs of this nature are uncommon on the open market. A superb mid-century archive for the motoring and aviation historian this bound collection of the Rolls-Royce Bulletin offers an immersive primary-source glimpse into British engineering during the early 1950s. Covering a transformative five-year span the compilation charts the company's pioneering developments including extensive coverage of their jet propulsion projects. Richly illustrated and factually dense it stands as a testament to the post-war industrial ambition of one of Britain's most legendary marques. Rolls-Royce Limited hardcover
