Livre avec dossier d'étude, écrit par Gilles Ratier, avec abondante iconographie. L'album contient des pages de garde, textes et dessins de William Vance, dont des inédits et des curiosités. On trouve aussi 2 BD inédites, dont une aventure de Howard Flynn, pour la première fois présentée en couleurs, ainsi que les 7 premières planches de Cap sur Gibraltar, telles qu’elles sont parues dans Femmes d’Aujourd’hui, avant qu’elles ne soient partiellement redessinées pour leur parution en album. Un des 625 exemplaires numérotes du tirage de luxe, non signé à cause de l’état de santé de William Vance. L'ouvrage et enrichi d'un bleu de coloriage d’une planche de Howard Flynn revêtu de son film au trait, est d’un calendrier composé d'illustrations, représentant des scènes sous-marines, restées dans l’oubli pendant plus d’un demi-siècle et réalisées par William Vance avant qu'il ne devienne un des maîtres de la BD. Bien complet du timbre, oblitéré du 1er jour. Rare édition originale complète du Calendrier. Etat proche du neuf.

Issued in conjunction with the exhibition, which was held at the Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, this collection details the foundations and tropes of postcards detailing Jewish life, celebrations, and institutions from the late 19th through the early 20th century. With the focus on Ashkenazic and Sephardic Jewry, Rosh Ha-Shanah, Jews in the first world war, and a comprehensive collection of postcards of synagogues from around the world. These postcards supply a panoramic view of Jewish daily life, both religious and secular, in the period preceding the devastation of European Jewry. S. R. Registered in Jerusalem 15th July, 1944. Contains Russian and English registered mail stamps, as well as Russian censor pass (pasted over side of letter after opening and inspection) .
