The book not here present whose half-title reads "The Pentameron of Mr. Boccaccio of Broadway" is a collection of 5 slightly racy & risque satirical stories with illustrations by Harold DeLay. Published by Ross Neu of the New Publishing Company MacAlpin dedicated the book to "Harry Stephen Keeler who strongly suspects my real identity". The American actress & singer "Texas" Guinan appeared on stage and screen eventually forming her own film production company. Yet she is most famous for the several New York City Prohibition era Speakeasy clubs she managed. Backed by mobsters and bootleggers her clubs catered to the rich and famous of New York society as well as politicians and featured jazz bands and chorus girls. Though she was once arrested during police raids of the clubs charges were dismissed. New York, 1930.
