ref. 7771-1La Vagabonde is one of the most important novels by Colette exploring themes of female independence personal freedom and emotional resilience in early twentieth-century France. Written during Colettes turbulent divorce from Willy the novel partly reflects her personal struggle for autonomy and contains sharp social observations of Belle Époque society. This is the special 1929 Grasset Montval edition in good condition.Half leather binding with some light wear on the hinges and spine. Richly decorated spine with guilt figures. 20 x 14 cm.
