Sturdy binding with no separation gaps or cracks. Some shelf wear to bottom edges; faded boards but the gilt lettering on spine is bright; generally in overall excellent condition. First volume has a biography by Henri d'Orleans pp.III-XX note that already at page III the foxing has disappeared followed by an introduction by Ernest Bertin pp.XXI-LXVII. Volume one published in 1900 subtitled "La famille d'Orleans au Palais-Royal 1828-1831" with 364 pages has two portraits and volume two published in 1903 subtitled "La famille d'Orleans aux Tuileries et en exil 1832-1851" with 518 pages has one portrait. Volume two has the peculiarity of adding "et correspondance" to the main title which is explained by the editor's preface pp.a-c. Though a little lackluster with sunned exterior and with some light foxing des rousseurs here and there this is still a compelling ensemble in collectible condition. G/VG- Librairie Plon hardcover
