Housed in original gilt and green paper covered slipcase. Spine very slightly darkened otherwise a good clean copy in a mildly worn slipcase.Fontenelle’s ‘Entretiens sur la pluralité des mondes’ offered an explanation of Copernicus’s heliocentric model of the universe. Meynell provided an exquisite edition with astrological decorations and pochoir illustrations. Ownership inscription of Roger Senhouse dated in the year of publication. Senhouse 1899-1970 was an English publisher and translator and on the edges of the Bloomsbury Group.
