This 1852 American edition of On Syphilis Constitutional and Hereditary; and on Syphilitic Eruptions by Erasmus Wilson F.R.S. presents one of the most important mid-19th-century clinical treatises on venereal disease. Condition & Binding: Bound in the original publisher’s dark cloth blind-stamped with decorative panels and gilt spine title WILSON ON SYPHILIS. The cloth shows typical institutional wear: rubbing to boards fraying at spine ends and a library call-number label at the foot of the spine. Hinges remain intact and the text block is firm. Internally the book contains library stamps accession numbers and pencil shelf marks. Pages show scattered foxing mostly light with some plates showing mild offsetting.
