Spine gilt lettering rubbed and binding a tad soiled rubbed and mildly edgeworn -- but tight-hinged and fairly attractive. Nice reprint edition of this 1867 account by a Massachusetts minister who decided to go West and recalls in detail his travels throughout the Midwest and to New Orleans before arriving in Texas.
