1908réf. 2018206The 1908 edition of the I assume popular home remedy book. This thing is a beast in terms of size and weight and a testament to why you shouldn't try to cram "ten books - one volume" as the title page brags. Like some many other copies it is in poor condition - many of the signatures are completely detached from the spine although from a cursory inspection I believe the text is complete with no pages or signatures missing. And the signatures and still connected by the sown thread to each other. Hinges are worn but still connected by the fabric of the cover if not the paper of the pastedown and free papers. Cover is worn especially on all edges. The marbled pattern on the edges fore top and bottom is very faded. Still beyond a little age-related foxing the text block itself has few gross defects. And again while this particular copy is in poor condition it does have some of those delightful bells and whistles which still make it an attractive volume: crimson cloth cover with gilt lettering the aforementioned marbled edges all the way around the marbled endpapers black and white photograph plates a few flap-out color illustrations that are still intact see pictures and a few other color illustrations. Plus a certificate at the end that guarantees the holder to one free year of medical advice and diagnosis from the University Medical Society. Doesn't look like it's been used I'm sure they would still honor it today. University Medical Society hardcover
1910réf. 1239721University Medical Society January 1910. Hardcover. Fair - Cash. Heavier wear to the cover corners and edges. Spine is completely missing and is taped. There is soiling to the cover and pages with creases and some tearing. Some of the pages are loose. Corners have some heavy rubbing and fraying the boards are exposed. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book. University Medical Society hardcover
