In very good condition. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. Rare. English journalist short-story writer poet and novelist Rudyard Kipling was one of the most popular writers in the British Empire in both prose and verse in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature in 1907. Kipling's The Drums of the Fore and Aft concerns an inexperienced Regular battalion on overseas service brigaded with a Highland Regiment and a Gurkha Regiment in Afghanistan.
