1970réf. 574169New York: The American Place Theatre 1970. Softcover. Fine. Theater program. Play directed by Curt Dempster. Two small quarto sheets folded and stapled to make eight octavo pages. Illustrated with two portraits of Oates. Bottom corner very slightly curled else fine. The final page prints a full-page advertisement for Oates' The Wheel of Love. A very uncommon Oates item perhaps because it appears that the play was universally panned by critics. OCLC locates four copies of this program NYU SUNY Buffalo U Rochester U Alberta and three copies of what appear to be a mimeographed or spirit-duplicated script and we note another possible copy of this program and a few more manuscript versions in her papers at Syracuse.
