From the Publisher's Note: "Rafal Olbinski is one of the most recognizable Polish contemporary artists. His surrealist paintings have been exhibited in some of the most prestigious galleries around the world and his intriguing illustrations have frequently graced the covers of "Newsweek" "Time" or "Der Spiegel" magazines. The artist takes on large abstract themes and realizes them on canvas with an unerringly succinct disturbing clarity which has become his trademark. His latest passion is opera and it seems he is capable of grasping the essence of Mozart or Verdi with the same precision which makes his magazine covers stand out as undeniably his own. He playfully twists planes and lines creating humorous piquant graphic compositions which never cease to surprise us. The album is a chronological compilation of the artist's works selected by Olbinski himself - from the earliest paintings and posters on social or political subjects to his most famous renditions of opera and ballet masterpieces.".
