Wilde explains that he had previously written regarding the case but 'by some accident the Letter has been mislaid I believe among my mass of papers and I therefore fear it may not have reached you as I cannot learn who among the Servants dispatched it'. In the lost letter he stated that the wishes of his correspondent 'had been anticipated by the case respecting the Lithgon Family having been answered and also stating that the only point submitted to me regarded the legal presumption of Survivorship among several persons the respective times of whose Deaths could not be ascertained'. Cloth backed decorative boards title printed in green onto paste-down label glossy illustrated endpapers 12mo 7-3/8 inches 18.8 cm tall pp. ii 58 with "1" printed at foot of last page indicating a first printing. Volume with light edge wear and some small splash marks to the first few pages else unmarked. Price-intact DJ is soiled with a few chips and small tears. Credited artwork by Clara Elsene Peck on the DJ and glossy duo-tone endpapers who ". was a member of the American Watercolor Society exhibited extensively and won many awards." Reed 2001 p. 111. D. Jacob Wilde 1679-1755 blev rikshistoriograf 1719 och han förblev så till sin död. “Sueciæ historia pragmatica .” är hans huvudverk påbörjat redan 1721. Det är det första försöket i den svenska statsrättens historia. Det avlutande partiet översattes till svenska av Mathias Benzel och utgavs 1742 under titeln: “Det så kallade oinskränkta enwäldet som kon. Carl XI anno 1680 wordit uppdragit emot ogrundade ryckten förswaradt och i sitt retta lius framstäldt” medan inledningen och forntidens historia översattes och utgavs av sonen Anders Wilde 1749. unknown
