ref. 4695Hoffmann draws two sketches to explain his instructions to Wilhelm Jonasch 1892-1961 artist and designer known for the textiles he created for the Weiner Werkstatte. Hoffmann asks Jonasch to take a box which can be found in a cabinet to a meeting. To be clear which cabinet Jonasch should find the box in Hoffmann draws both cabinet and box. Signed in full in the letter and signed "Professor Hoffmann" on the envelope. With such clear direction one would imagine Jonasch delivered the box to the meeting. unknown

1955ref. 106j0219London: Burke Publishing Company Ltd. Good in Fair dust jacket. 1955. First Edition. Hardcover. "Here for the first time are disclosed secrets of the Nazi regime which were only known to two people - Hitler and his friend Hoffmann. For more than twenty years Heinrich Hoffmann was Adolf Hitler's most intimate and trusted friend. They were inseparable from the days when Hitler was an unknown Munich rabble-rouser to the end in the bunkers of Berlin in 1945. Hoffmann was a photographer: one of the world's greatest and probably the most famous of the present era. His position is unique for he not only lived through the most chaotic years in history as the Fuhrer's confidant - but is still alive to tell of them. Based upon personal knowledge rather than rumour and supposition Heinrich Hoffmann's story is one of the social documents of our time." - dust jacket. iv-xiv 15-256 pp. Over one-hundred black and white photos. Index. Illustrated endpapers. Unmarked with average wear. One-inch archival-tape repair to top edge of page 78. Binding intact. Above-average wear to dust jacket now preserved in archival-grade Brodart. A sound copy of this informative and fascinating account. Laid-in is a brief undated news clipping of Hoffmann's obituary. 1787ref. Bel exemplaire. Cachets de l'Institut catholique de Paris. Bibliotheca Tinctoria n° 0002, 0037, 0536 et 1120. Pritzel n°144 (Amoreux).
