Prima edizione di questo interessante repertorio tipografico curato da Herbert Hoffmann con Albert Bruckner Max Hertwig e Rudolf Koch poi ristampato con qualche aggiunta nel 1952; il volume raccoglie molti specimen di alfabeti monogrammi iniziali e loghi presentando accanto a caratteri più antichi molti esempi che riflettono le ricerche dell'epoca Bauhaus in testa.
