Book is tight and square despite size 11.5"" x 15"" and sharp-cornered. Very little scuffing or shelfwear to edges. Interior is unmarked other than signature and inscription on inside front cover. Laid in are two pages that must have been from the same book: Katharine Hepburn by Alexander brook and Katharine Conrell as Candida by Eugene Speicher. With 86 full color illustrations selected from teh series on contemporary American artists published in ""Life"". Stated First Edition - 1939. The 1939 version seems quite scarce. Without DJ.
