Blue cloth boards; lettering in silver to spine with black title compartment publisher's device in blind to top board; top edge coloured blue faded. Dust jacket price clipped worn at extremities chipped at head and heel of spine 2"x1" of paper loss at foot of rear of jacket. Jacket ever so slight toned. Mylar protected which greatly improves the appearance. Gift inscription to ffep dated Christmas 1961. Spotting to foregdge of textblock not at all visible internally. The first trade edition was preceded by a limited edition of 500 copies.
