1963ref. 355490720761London: Cape 1963. First Edition. UNCORRECTED PROOF of the First UK Edition. A softcover. Usual Cape pale green wrappers with Cape logos. Minor surface loss in places to the spine and a couple of faint creases to the bottom left hand corner of the rear cover. Overall VG indeed. I do not believe that this proof was issued with a proof dust wrapper. NB: a note on Cape proofs of this title. There are 3 Cape proofs noted with no priority established and I am indebted to Jon Gilbert the noted Deighton specialist at Adrian Harrington for bringing this to my attention. This is an example of the rarest of the three known proofs.
