1942Best.-Nr. 2872A very nice copy -rarely with dust jacket- of a 1940s edition of the famed divination book supposedly adopted by Napoleon. Used for prediction the future in all sorts of practical situations! Undated but with the 'war economy standard' so we are assuming 1940s and have put 1942 as an illustrative date. This is not the 1958 edition. These books printed on cheaper wartime paper are fairly rare in this condition and especially so with a surviving dust jacket. Pages are very good: no inscriptions underlining or notes. A little foxing here and there some tanning on FEPs otherwise exceptionally bright and clean. Pink boards retain their bright colour and are tight and clean. Binding completely tight. DJ is rarely present in this edition. It's fully intact save for some nibbling here and there shelfwear at top and general age related darkening. Back covet has some nice adverts for other Foulsham books as does front flap. Unclipped. Very nice. Altogether a good copy of a rare edition of the famous book. All now protected in professional clear removable book wrapper. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale we don't use stock photos. More photos on request thanks! Foulsham hardcover
