1950rif. C1029781950. Paperback . Good. Anon Abishag n.d. Circa 1950 or late 1940s. subtitled ' A luscious tale of a successful physiological search after Rejuvenescence. Fully disclosing the secret of the only natural and true elixir capable of effecting such a desirable necessity.' In this ten page samizdat style 'Soho script' purporting to have been first published in 1884 the narrator an unnamed man past his middle age endeavours to prove that by copulating with a series of voluptuous young women he can stave off old age. He recalls that at thirty after six months of marriage he had become dissatisfied with his wife and had turned to 'futtering' their virginal maid Edith and assorted whores for sexual excitement. His wife anxious for sex plies him with aphrodisiacs but he yearns for Edith. After she leaves to get married he takes advantage of Polly the eighteen year old virgin they hire to assist the cook. The man discovers that only by copulating regularly with her can he continue to satisfy his wife. He decides to divulge his guilty secret to her and when Polly leaves she supplies him with a string of suitable girls. After five or six years of experimenting in this way he concludes that only warm and enthusiastic virgins or those who have had little ' commerce ' with men can keep him rampant. He ends his tale by advising all men whether single or married to avoid whores and seek out young virgins if they wish to preserve their sexual power. This is a narrative that caters to the male fantasy that young virgins always welcome sex with older married men. Its considerable erotic effect relies on explicit descriptions of such encounters which are always compared favourably to marital sex and sex with prostitutes which are seen to be equally cold experiences.
