1925ref. 0069221925. Wraps. Near Fine. Eighteen mounted black and white sepia toned photographs of a replica model of King Ludwig II's castle Neuschwanstein. 12mo. 18 by 13.5 cm. The model was constructed between November 20 1924 and May 1 1925 by an unknown artist. The replica was done with meticulous attention to detail -- it is very impressive. The model looks like one of the elaborate confections made from Lego blocks but the model predates Lego which began in 1932. The photos show the model from different angles and ranges with both panoramic and close-up photos. The photos are mostly near full page with two smaller photos sharing a page. The ink writing on the cover is in a cursive now long in disuse and so we aren't able to decipher it in its entirely unfortunately. unknown books
