This copy is smyth sewn. Smyth sewing is a method of bookbinding where groups of folded pages referred to as signatures are stitched together using binder thread. Each folded signature is sewn together individually with multiple stitches and then joined with other signatures to create the complete book block. 1786[700 manoscritto Arezzo]4 volumi ben legati in solido cartonato originale ricoperto in bella carta marmorizzata colorata a mano. Alla prima carta del primo volume vecchia notazione a penna : "il detto nome anagrammatico (Loreto Gobalosi) è di bartolomeo Golfi. Aretino valente e comico." manoscritto cartaceo autografo, vergato in chiara grafia composto da pagine 146+146+117+51+39 bianche. Per notizie biografiche di questo curioso personaggio aretino (1754 - 1818) vedi Massetani n°1934. Altre notizie sono nel manoscritto 24 della biblioteca civica della città di Arezzo la quale sembra non possedere nessuno scritto del golfi e nessun suo autografo.Questi quattro volumi contengono centinaia di composizioni di vario genere con nomi, luoghi e date che vanno dal 1786 al 1817. Il primo volume contiene un indice e una dedica al lettore: "amico lettore chiunque scrive lo fa col fine di piacere a se medesimo, e di essere compatito da gli altri...". Elenchiamo una piccola parte di nomi, fatti e date contenute nei 4 volumi: Tomo I Nozze di faustina Albergotti, Viaggio del pontefice Pio VI, Il pallone volante in Arezzo, Sonetto del Pignotti, Nuova legge dei campi santi, Metastasio, recita dell'estate del 1786, commedia recitata in Arezzo nel carnevale del 1787, marchesa Maria Merlini di Forlì, Pietro Benaglia. Tomo II: Luigi Mazzotti parla alla Bettina Mancini, Dott. Nicolò Brilandi, Morte de re di Spagna, Pietro Mazotti primo amoroso, Isacco Salomone Levi a vent' anni si battezza nel duomo di Alessandria 1789, conquista sopra belgrado, Alessandra Paris prima attrice, morte dell'imperatore Giuseppe II con iscrizione sepolcrale sopra la porta della chiesa di S. Fedele in Milano, Girolamo Sommariva, nozze Maria Visconti e Filippo Puntiroli. Tomo III: Sebastiano Guerini, Avvocato Carlo Federici, addio per la Cavalletti Ancona 1796, Genova per la Guerra udine 1799, Ronzoni parma 1796, invitando un amico alle nozze dette maiale: battaglia di Austerlitz terzine recitate all'accademia di Arezzo x ottobre 1810, al tegoleto per una pioggia, laGiuditta quadro del Sign. Benvenuti Collocato nella catteredale di Arezzo, sonetto per il Vasari, col Sabatini a tavola. Tomo IV: Al Petrarca , sestine recitate all'aperturadella R. Accademia Aretina nella sala di casa Azzi il 20 Luglio 1810, morte di Priamo, quadro del sig, pietro benvenuti, ritorno in Toscana di S.A. Ferdinando alla pubblica accademia il 24 Luglio 1814 eseguita per la prima volta nella pubblica libreria di fraternita, lode del Pignotti per l'accademia Luglio 1816, al nuovo priore nella chiesa di S. Martino sopra Battifolle, per l'amico Fausto Albergotti nell'accademia 4 maggio 1817, corale per la venuta in Arezzo come commissario imperiale del nobile Tommaso Bucci Mattei di Monte San Savino, Scherzo al dott. Antonio Loreti che promise a me un canario di cova, ecc... ecc... Il manoscritto è in eccellente stato di conservazione e perfetta leggibilità e proviene dalla biblioteca nobiliare dei signori Fubghini di Arezzo. L'Autore fu valente commediografo e comico aretino che meriterebbe uno studio più approfondito. Questo nostro manoscritto in 4 volumi sembra essere la sua opera più ingenteche frà l'altro contiene una grande quantità di notizie su Arezzo e dintorni. Il Massetani n°1934 da notizia dell'esistenza di 3 volumi posseduti dal Cav. pereira suo, zio. Provenienza: Archivio privato di importante famiglia Patrizia di Arezzo. 1979. [f84] manoscritto
