1990José Luis Gago de Val nació en Palencia el año 1934. Ingresó en la Orden Dominicana en 1950 y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1958. Es licenciado en Teología y Ciencias de la Información.

1992El misterio ha sido desde siempre el núcleo de la poesía de Calveyra pero a partir de Maizal del gregoriano se inició un peregrinaje con la estación de Diario de Eleusis que alcanza en El cuaderno griego un provisorio final el vértice que le faltaba a una involuntaria trilogía.
