2016br. Friedrich Holderlin (1770-1843), di cui qui si indaga l'opera, è unanimemente considerato grandissimo poeta. Permangono tuttavia giudizi contrastanti sui testi scritti nel suo tardo periodo creativo, segnato dalla schizofrenia. Ciò che comunque sorprende è la loro levità/felicità espressiva. Colpisce la sconcertante pacatezza delle strofe, quasi l'uomo lacerato dalla psicosi avesse davvero raggiunto la Vollkommenheit, la compiutezza cui fa cenno l'ultima splendida poesia del cantore folle.
