2006réf. 6710Midland MI: Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art 2006. First Edition. Original wraps. Very Good. 8 1/4 X 11 Inches. Exhibition catalog from the Stephen Knapp show from January 20 to March 25 2007 at the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art at the Midland Center for the Arts. Signed and dated by Knapp on the title-page. Original email printout from 2007 tipped-in regarding a meeting between Stephen and Myra Janco Daniels. The meeting between the artist and Myra must have gone well as she showed his work at the Naples Museum of Art in 2010. Scarce autograph of an artist known for light installations. Light rubbing and wear to edge and crown of spine. Myra Janco Daniels 1925-2022 founder and CEO of the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts. Myra was also 1965 Advertising Woman of the Year and wife of Draper Daniels the adman who created "The Marlboro Man" and the basis for "Don Draper" on AMC's Madmen TV show. At the age of 25 Myra started her own advertising business in Terre Haute Indiana which was later purchased by Draper Daniels. She was a longtime collaborator of Draper's and together the couple achieved amazing success in the world of advertising in the mid-20th Century. In retirement Myra founded the Naples Philharmonic Center and created a world class art museum which she led for over 20 years. Giving a slight nod to Charles Lindbergh the Pulitzer Prize-Winning author A. Scott Berg once dubbed Myra "The Spirit of Naples.". Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art unknown
