189914 leaves on glossy white paper. Pen and ink style illustrations and marginal decorations. 4to. 300 mm. Numerous tip-ins of supposed originals = handwritten notes, telegrams, letters, envelopes, drawings, a flower, a hair pin, and newspaper clippings, etc. All of these documenting the course of a Victorian romance between a discreet young woman and a discreet young man. There is a brief introduction, but the rest of the tale is told solely in these artifacts dropped from Cupid's diary. The padded faux leather binding is quite soiled and the spine is worn, with some loss. An unusual and scarce production. WOMEN 1
