189914 leaves on glossy white paper. Pen and ink style illustrations and marginal decorations. 4to. 300 mm. Numerous tip-ins of supposed originals = handwritten notes, telegrams, letters, envelopes, drawings, a flower, a hair pin, and newspaper clippings, etc. All of these documenting the course of a Victorian romance between a discreet young woman and a discreet young man. There is a brief introduction, but the rest of the tale is told solely in these artifacts dropped from Cupid's diary.
