Outlawry and depredations in the Carson Valley; the Indians; the Vigilance Committee; the Overland Railroad etc. The Kingdom in the West Series subtitled 'The Mormons and the American Frontier' is an award-winning series begun in 1997 that explored the story of the Latter-day Saints and their part in the greater history of the Western Frontier. The history of the Mormons in the American West is so sweeping it is easy to ignore episodes that for one reason or another found no place in the traditional annals of the region. This series explored the story of the Mormon people and their part in the greater history of the Western Frontier.
