2012réf. 6Bogota Colombia: Icono Editorial 2012. First Edition. Softcover / soft slipcase. Fine/Near Fine. Oblong folio. 16 x 10-6/8 in. 183 pp. Fully illustrated with black & white and color reproductions of photographs. Text in Spanish. Inscribed by Ferry on the verso of the title page. Part history and part photojournalism this project began as a pdf that would be easily distributable to those affected by the violence and those seeking to learn about the ongoing Colombian conflicts. Leaning into graphic reporting with photography Ferry used this medium to demonstrate the magnitude of forced disappearances and heinous acts of violence as well as the bravery of so many victims. ".And there is a thing in this photograph that I have seen many times in this conflict and others the people for me who have experienced so much violence many times have a strange look as if there are two faces -- like the two eyes don't sit at the same point. And another thing I've noticed in the war in Colombia for example are sad faces and almost a passive quality in the face of these people that represents the violence they may have committed or seen or suffered in the wake." Ferry's photography was exhibited at The Museum of Memory and Human Rights in Chile 2015 and also briefed in the evocative TEDxCeiba 2011 talk https://www.youtube.com/watchv=WS0axdx3dH8. Lb U/V.
