This research argues that corporate Poland's foreign and defence policy orientation is not in fact 'instinctively Atlanticist' by nature as has been argued. Rather it has been the State's rational project to overcome a habituated and reified fear of becoming geopolitically 'sandwiched' between Russian and German Others by leaning on the USA; among the Polish nation support for the USA has been declining since 2004. It is not corporate Poland either that has turned into a 'constructive European' as has been argued but rather the Polish nation that has at least partly managed to emancipate itself from its habituation to a 'betrayal by Europe narrative since it favours the EU as much as it favours NATO. It seems that in the Polish case a truly 'common' European CFSP vis-a-vis Russia may offer a solution that will emancipate the Polish State from its habituated EU-sceptic role identity and corporate Poland from its narrated borders of Otherness towards Russia and Germany but even then one cannot be sure whether any other perspective than the Polish one on a common stand towards Russia would satisfy the Poles themselves. FIRST & ONLY LIMITED EDITION OF 750 NUMBERED COPIES This an important and scholarly Bahr collection catalogue. It is an essential and scarce reference source. This work covers 25 fine examples of the greatest Chinese paintings found in the world-famous Bahr Collection. Each item is carefully described and annotated by the celebrated art-historian and Sinologist Osvald Siren. ISSUED IN A LIMITED NUMBERED EDITION OF ONLY 750 COPIES. This work was issued in a FIRST and ONLY single LIMITED EDITION OF 750 NUMBERED COPIES each of which were hand numbered in pen. The publisher printed a few "over-runs" or extra copies to insure at least 750 pristine & flawless complete copies. There few extra and flawless copies were then bound up in the identical cloth without hand numbering they are called "out of sequence." They were distributed to the author & publisher for presentation to personal friends. They retain the same value as the other copies. There was a very small number of the "over-runs" issued for this purpose that occasionally reach the market. Because the book was published in a very small edition it has always been hard to find. Printed in a Deluxe edition on heavy deckle-edge paper gold stamped titles hand numbered or "out-of-sequence" with Siren's lucid introductory essay each plate has a tissue guard protecting it as usual there are some with wrinkles by and large nice condition.
