Die Übertragung ins Deutsche erfolgte durch den Gelehrten und Bibliothekar J. J. Schwabe 1714-1784 dessen Hauptinteresse der pädagogischen Literatur galt und der zu seiner Zeit als Übersetzer und Herausgeber derartiger Schriften sehr geschätzt wurde. "Nimmt man noch die Uebersetzungen.so ergibt sich ein Bild reichster und mannigfaltigster Thätigkeit der eine Anerkennung nicht versagt werden kann. .und in der Reinheit und formalen Handhabung der Sprache hat S. für seine Zeit in der That Achtungswerthes geleistet." Hervorgehoben wird auch seine 1738 erstmals erfolgte Ausgabe von Rollins Werk " gleichwohl ist es immerhin ein Verdienst daß er durch die Herausgabe von C.
