In this little book Cecil Humphery-Smith presents a facsimile of the historic Latin text of John Gibbon's "Blason" to mark the 380th anniversary of its publication. Twenty years earlier Gerard Legh's "Accedens of Armorie" had appeared - a humorous and imaginative work based on dialogue between Gerarde the Herehaught and Leigh the Caligat Knight - and this 1963 edition marks both anniversaries.
