Light brown cloth covers have only a few surface marks and fairly minor rubbing to extremeties & joints the outer edge of fr.board to Vol.2 has a thin sl.darker strip & there is a sm.cloth nick towards top back outer corner of this vol. Despite the faults which sound worse for being described at length this remains an above average copy of this interesting and scarce biography. It passed from the British Phrenological Society to R.M.Young when the society was dissolved. Macmillan hardcover
