These are the first editions of Vauban's treatises on siegecraft and military mining. One othe most influential works on miltary technology in the 18th century. Volume one is complete with 36 plates. Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban Seigneur de Vauban later Marquis de Vauban baptised 15 May 1633 30 March 1707 commonly referred to as Vauban was a French military engineer who worked under Louis XIV.
