Published by Fine Owls Press in 1976.A supplement containing new titles and additions to existing entries is included 1983.In the publisher's original pink paper wraps. The Check-List contains sixteen plates with numerous illustrations while the Supplement contains a frontispiece. Collated complete.The successor to Elizabeth Newberry Harris's books were known for their bright hand-coloured woodcuts that brought an engaged and popular audience. Harris was also important for bringing a number of German and French fairy-tales into Britain and for emphasising comedy over purely moral lessons. This check-list provides a catalogue of their work for any avid collector. In the publisher's original pink paper wraps. Externally very smart with minimal marks to wraps.
