1920ref. 027641Europe: Not Published 1920. Collection of 48 real-photo postcard images. Thirty-six of the photographs depict show jumping and other equestrian activities; male and female participants; women riding sidesaddle and astride. Costume varies: top hat formal jodhpurs to military uniforms. 5 of the images with pencil notations in German on the reverse: Baron Rothschild; Krupp von Bohlen; Furstenberg family members; opera baritone Leo Schutzendorf & music director; also a card noting the winner of the first prize of a jumping series. With a few miscellaneous images: men & boys at a swimming pool several groups of unidentified persons in garden and other settings. Nearly every one of the images printed on Leonar photo postcard paper; no place or photographic studio noted; the internal evidence suggests Germany circa 1920s. These are action photographs and overall are very clear and well-taken. Light wear; 3 images with some fading; in very good condition. Photographs. Not Bound. Very Good. Not Published paperback
