Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no other blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind with heavy, high quality paper, b&w prints throughout. Dust jacket suffers several small tears at upper spine, curled edge. Contents include: Fauves, Cubists, Expressionists, Dada, De Stijl groups, Art Nouveau, etc., Matisse, Braque, Kandinsky, 157 illustrations, prints photos, architectural examples.

A gorgeous livre d'artiste, illustrated with 13 original hors-texte lithographs by Vlaminck, in his purest fauve style, depicting lonely town scenes and landscapes. From a total edition of 330 copies, this is one of 280 numbered copies beautifully printed on fine Arches wove paper. 4to. Original wraps. Mild spotting to front cover, else UNCUT, FINE, AND BRIGHT. Fauve books are scarce and important.
