1915réf. 931New Yrok: National Metalizing Company / Armor Bronze 1915. Bronze Clad. Near Fine. Well-preserved pair of bronze clad bookends that are according to sources from prior to when Armor Bronze was founded from National Metalizing Co. That puts this pair from about 1910-1920. Great dark patina with nice greening in the folds. A nice set of old bookends - very collectable and in great condition. National Metalizing Company / Armor Bronze unknown
1920réf. 951Newark NJ: National Metalizing Company att. 1920. Near Fine. An uncommon and striking pair of bookends likely from the National Metalizing Company these bookends are large with the pair standing at 9.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide. What is striking with these examples is the rich patina and finish. These are a magnificent example of bronze-clad plaster bookends and these will certainly standout as an exceptional set of art deco library decor items. National Metalizing Company (att.) unknown
1969A desire to recreate Minoan palaces, villas, and houses of the Late Bronze Age inspired the author of this book to undertake an eight year research program that has radically modified our conception of the appearance of Cretan dwellings He not only interprets the use of the rooms that partially survive but reconstructs the guest suites and banquet halls of the vanished upper storeys. Written both as a preparation for a visit to Crete and as an actual guide to the sites, the book is prefaced with an account of the island's geography, history, and culture in antiquity, and packed with illustrations including photographs, plans, reconstructions, and a map of the island showing the sites" 269p.
