1931réf. 13205Fort Worth TX: Mid-December 1931. 4pp. on a single folded folio sheet. Old folds short separation along one fold line. Very good. A fascinating newspaper-style promotional touting the potential of Gold Gulch in the Dos Cabezas mountains of Cochise County Arizona published by J.F. Morrissey of Fort Worth Texas. Morrissey's Gold Gulch project seems to have had a short burst of activity with a note in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and The Austin American on November 25 1931 and notes in the Arizona Republic October 2 1932 and El Paso Herald Post November 5 1932. The first two announce the company charter. The second two suggest an offloading of equipment for officials of the company called "one of the largest and most complete plants ever built in Arizona" for placer mining. After November the venture seems to have evaporated. The present promotional includes short articles mostly designed to focus the reader's attention on the Gold Gulch opportunity. Headlines state that an "Engineer's Report Indicates at Least $20000000 in Gold Values" "Gold Mining Booming" "Facts You Should Know About Gold Gulch Mining Co." and so forth. We could locate no other examples of this promotional or any other issues of Morrissey's review. Mid-December unknown
