1948rif. 332499London: Victor Gollancz Ltd 1948. Hardcover. First of all textblock was bound upside-down; there we've said it. Back to the book: 216p. hardbound first edition trade issue not Left Book Club in Gollancz' pinkish boards 7.5x5 inches spine- and cover-titled black. Except that the cover's behind.the cover. Spine panel's a little sunned and dusty corner-tips and one rim mildly turned hinges good but the text was printed on seriously acidic stock and is badly toned verging on fragility no tears so far. No markings clean as clean as badly toned paper gets and sound if upside-down. The appendix is insider stuff by the way and the Mussolini-Dollfuss letters a trifle amusing.
