2014Best.-Nr. T01-C1Near Fine softcover in a Very Good dust jacket. This is the catalogue for the Azimut/h show at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice 2014 to 2015 curated by Luca Massimo Barbero. It covers the gallery and magazine that Piero Manzoni and Enrico Castellani started in Milan in 1959 and the artists around it. It was made with the Fondazione Piero Manzoni and it's full of great plates. It's hard to find in English. The book itself is in beautiful shape with clean plates and no marks inside. The orange jacket is unclipped and has no tears. It does have some light surface scuffs and scratches a tiny chip at one corner tip and a small mark near the bottom edge all shown in the photos. Packed carefully in a padded box. Free shipping in the US. International shipping is quoted at checkout. Marsilio paperback
2014Best.-Nr. 204648Venice: Marsilio 2014. Hardcover. VG. A large blue and orange casebound book. The spine is blue with white lettering. 648 pp. Profusely illustrated with a majority color images. "The story of a seminal experience on the international art scene in the 1960s. In the postwar period characterized by wide-ranging experimentation involving major artists and international exchanges Azimut/h played a key cultural and expressive role. Founded in 1959 with slightly different names by Piero Manzoni and Enrico Castellani the gallery Azimut and the magazine Azimuth forged a new concept of aesthetics. In doing so they were inspired by intense relationships developed with some of the leading figures exploring the language and theory of Italian and international art at the time. This book focuses on the Italian artists of that generation and the European and American reach of their work." Marsilio hardcover
